Where's
the human in Humanity?
This is for the girl that didn't get to thrive
this is for the girl that is no longer alive
this is for the girl that took a dive
and to the people who witnessed her death live
When the news spread people were wide-eyed
it wasn't something they could let easily slide
How could a father care so much about his pride
that he'd leave his daughter to struggle until she died
This is worse than child abuse
how could you not care about the kid you'll lose
and use the word "belief" as an excuse
To throw away your daughter's life like some dirty shoes
This is a problem we need to address
there are opinions we need to express
we need to stop looking at a girl as a body in a dress
and realize that women have rights you can't suppress
