Let’s take a moment and set the scene,
Burned up woods going back to green,
The sea so clear the bottom could be seen,
Roads, parks and gardens always clean,
Inhaling air that is clear and unpolluted,
Vile criminals always properly prosecuted,
Women’s voices being heard, never muted,
And minorities no longer unfairly persecuted,
Students shouldn't look for hiding spots in a school,
Guns shouldn't be as easily acquired as a power tool,
Someone's identity shouldn't be an object of ridicule,
The world we live in really shouldn't be so cruel,
Wouldn’t the world be a much better place…
If white supremacy was gone without a trace,
And world leaders weren’t such a disgrace,
No privilege or entitlement, no superior race,
Picture us all working together to do what’s right,
Fixing past generations’ mistakes and oversight,
Stoping them from draining resources that are finite,
Allowing everyone to live in peace without fright,
Saving the world should be a collective goal,
To get tyrants in power to surrender all control,
And stop Earth from becoming a giant sinkhole,
And work to make the broken fabric of society whole.
