To those who scream and think we don’t hear,
To those who are shaking and cowering in fear,
To those who demand justice but never seem to win,
To those who died because of the colour of their skin
To everyone discriminated against for their race,
To the victim that the news won’t show their face,
To the mothers who mourn the death of their sons,
To those who were killed by animals holding guns,
I’m sorry the “justice” system failed to protect you,
I’m sorry the cops beat you until you turned blue,
I’m sorry the world is cruel and so fucked up,
I’m sorry it takes a murder for the news to blow-up,
The vicious killers walk away without a trial,
The white supremacists display a smile so vile,
The world is biased when it comes to the minorities,
And the most fucked up racists are the authorities.
I’m just wondering when will all this end,
All this brutality and segregation I can’t comprehend,
I guess to some people this topic is simply unsavoury,
I shouldn’t expect much from those who created slavery.
